Bushnell wanted to capture more market share with their entry level product brand, Tasco, and so presented fredsparks with the challenge of designing greater value into the product category with the constraint of not being able to change any manufacturing processes.
We developed a series of optic concept styles and ergonomic shooting features that ended up exceeding the client’s expectations to the extent that they felt the image belonged at a higher price point.
This resulted in Bushnell elevating the selected design style to their higher price-point product line Simmons. The Simmons Pro Target debuted at the 2011 SHOT Show in January, and so far feedback is good. Stay posted for more results.
