A face lift for football

Schutt needed a new football face guard, and what we gave them would turn heads on and off the field. We created a face guard that exudes attitude for a sport that is all about aggression. The Bulldog face guard received recognition on the front page of the Dallas Morning News sports section. This recognition landed us the contract of designing a line of AFL exclusive face guard along with some one of kind face guards for NFL players like LaDainian Tomlinson.

The Bulldog

“Beware of the Dog” takes on a whole new meaning from here on out.
The first of its kind and the catalyst for rethinking what a guard should look like, the Bulldog got its start back in 2004 as a youth face guard concept designed to appeal to a youth demographic.  The Bulldog’s aesthetics were designed to echo the characteristics of its canine namesake. Heavy Brow, snout, under bite and all, the end result begs for attention on the field. The Bulldog is featured in the 2010 Madden video game as a face guard option.

The Vader

The name says it all.
Commissioned by LaDainian Tomlinson formally from the San Diego Chargers, the Vader face guard is suitable for the dark lord himself.  LaDainian requested a wickedly different design that possessed all the look and feel of the iconic Darth Vader helmet without compromising his abilities on the field.  The fredsparks team produced a series of concepts for his review and the end result has really raised some eyebrows on and off the field.
